How to Measure for the Perfect Fit

Accurate measurements are the secret to a confident performance. For the best results, athletes should wear a leotard or tight-fitting clothes while measuring.

The Golden Rules of Sizing

  • Round Up: If a measurement falls on a partial inch, always round up to the next full inch.
  • The “Between” Rule: If measurements fall across two sizes, we recommend ordering the larger size.

Step-by-Step Measuring Guide

  1. Torso (The Most Important!) Run the tape from the center of the shoulder, down the front, through the legs, and back up the rear to the same shoulder point. This loop determines the vertical fit of the leotard.
  2. Chest Measure around the fullest part of the chest with arms relaxed at the sides.
  3. Waist Measure at the natural waistline (the narrowest part). Tip: Have the athlete bend to the side; the natural waist is where the body creases.
  4. Hips With feet together, measure around the fullest part of the buttocks.
